Like many people of today we prefer country life to that of the city.
When we first saw the ruin of our old farm house, my mother and I immediately saw its beauty and my father, an architect, already was able to envision plans to restore it to its original splendour. The project of “Borgo Solario” slowly became a reality.

While restoring the apartments we took great care to create a homely, friendly atmosphere to make our holiday homes a different experience.

The Borgo Solario is situated in a strategic position on the border between Umbria and Tuscany making it an ideal base to visit all the major cities of art the region is rich in and to sample the local agricultural products which include many excellent wines ,superb olive oil, honey and not forgetting the famous “beans of Trasimeno”.

The apartments offer comfortable accommodation with use of a communal swimming pool and gardens where guests can relax and mingle with the other visitors of the farmhouse.

The tranquillity of Umbria and the friendliness of its people have enriched not only our lives but those of our many guests of different nationalities during their stay at Borgo Solario.
